Slot Canyon Photography
Upper and Lower Antelope canyons in Arizona are some of the most beautiful and most photographed slot canyons in the world. Amazing, breathtaking, cathedral like walls surround us as we make out way through the upper and lower canyons.
The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tse' bighanilini, which means "the place where water runs through rocks." The walls of upper antelope canyon are as much as 120 feet above the sandy bottom. Wind, water and time have joined hands to created the amazing “corkscrew” of lower antelope canyon.
We teach you, in class and in canyon, the skills needed to meter the light, create unique compositions and work with your tripod to avoid the use of flash. We go into the canyons at the time of day most appropriate for a spectacular photography tour.
Join us this year for our 10th Anniversary Slot Canyon Workshop. Meet us in Page, or drive out with us from Durango.
In addition to photography in the Lower and Upper Antelope canyons, this year we will also photograph the slots in Waterholes and quiet light at Little Cut and the Horseshoe Bend Overlook area, and some awesome locations overlooking Lake Powell.
